We are all going to miss Joe. He always had a smile on his face and a hug just waiting. I never saw him in a bad mood. Joe always teased me calling me his girlfriend...but he was more like a brother to me. We all grew up in Sandcut as kids and still ran into each other at the Sandcut Tavern occasionally. I use to work at the Sandcut Grocery and would wait on the family quite often. They were always great people and they all had such a great sense of humor. No more being stuck in a tent cause it's raining buddy. Hope you are having a great time up there fishing with your dad. Rest in peace now Joe, you have suffered long enough.

God surely has received one of the best with Joe. Even when you knew he was in pain, he always had a smile for everyone. I am proud to have known him and called him my friend.

Joe loved his wife Cathy and he loved his girls. He was one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. During our time together over 40 years Joe was always the same thoughtful person.
Joe was a great man and will be sorely missed.
R.I.P. Joe and thank you for your years of loyal service.

I have the blessing of so many wonderful memories to forever remind me of Joe. We grew up together, went to school together and for years did everything together. Some of the best memories of my life are the ones created with my older brother Larry, Joe and Dave I will never forget those years. Joe was not just a friend, in 1975 he also became family and has forever remained in my heart as brother. Dearly loved and forever will be only a memory away. Rest in peace Brother.

If you knew any of the Archers, you had to love them. A family that stuck together, and did things together. They even let outsiders in. The fishing trips, the camping trips, the squirrel hunting, the friendship of meeting new Archer family members, I just cant describe the feelings toward this family. Joe was my best friend. We was raised together in the big town of Sandcut, IN. We never grew apart. Joe was truly my best friend ever. Just wish I could have seen him before he left us. So glad I was able to take Joe fishing a few more times this last year. Had one more trip planned, he will be there with us, GOD has gained a truly great man. To my best friend"JOE, I will see you someday, We will go play golf, go fishing, squirrel hunt, and we might even have a cranberry and tonic or two.... I loved him like my brother. Him and Dave.
