Wilma Rose Allen, 95, of Brazil and formerly of Terre Haute passed away Sunday October 20, 2024 in her residence. She worked for many years at the Holiday Inn. Wilma was born September 18, 1929 in Vigo County to Lawrence and Evertia (Simmrel) Kisner. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ann Shadow and Nancy Rose Knight (Darel); son, David Keith Allen (Diana Heubel); daughter-in-law, Diane Allen; sister, Judith Moody; brother, Don Kisner; grandchildren, Bruce Allen Jr., Justin Allen, Jason Childress, and Kimberly Howard; several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jean Allen, who died in 1993; son,, Bruce William Allen; grandsons, Aaron Lee Shadow, Kyle William Childress, and John William Shadow III; sisters, Mary Cuffle, Martha Fennell, and Delores Dwyer and brothers, Kenny Kisner, Gerald Kisner, Larry Kisner, Bobby Kisner, Chester Kisner, Charles Kisner, Alfred Kisner, and Carl Kisner. Wilma attended Full Gospel Assembly of God. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #972. She was a Mall Walker and enjoyed bowling at both Vigo and Terre Haute Bowling Center. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, baking, and cooking. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hutsonwood and Southern Care Hospice for their wonderful care. Visitation will be Friday October 25, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
