William “Bill” Edward Nicoson II was born February 26,1947 in Terre Haute, IN to William “Ted” and Norma Nicoson, and he passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 27, 2024.
Bill was a retired IBEW Local 725 electrician and farmer. He was the Chief of Linton Twp. Fire Dept, dedicating over 50 years to the fire service, and a veteran of The Indiana Air National Guard. During his retirement, he enjoyed time with his family and showing his antique John Deere tractors.
Bill is survived by his wife Christina, who he married July 28, 1979, his children Kristin (Mark) Merritt and Aaron (Cathy) Nicoson, sister Susan Nicoson, grandchildren Madason (RJ) Londo, Kassandra, Morgan, and Karolyn Merritt and Finn and Clara Nicoson; great-grandson Raiden Londo; sisters-in-law Linda Palmer and Dee Palmer, nieces Kelli Sherman and Emily and Erica Palmer, and Nephew Spencer (Paige) Harlan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dixie.
A visitation will be held on Friday May 31, 2024 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will start at 1:00 pm with IVFA Honors at 12:30 pm prior to. Burial to follow at Farmersburg West Lawn Cemetery with military honors.
