Virginia M. (Kunz) Hamelmann

Virginia Margaret Hamelmann, 99, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday October 6, 2020 at her son’s residence in Fishers, Indiana. She had worked at various office positions at Motor Freight, Eastern Express, Hendrick Abstract, and Vigo Wade Abstract. She was born December 5, 1920 in Terre Haute to Harry and Margareen (Reece) Kunz. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Linda Simmons; son, Ted Hamelmann; grandchildren, Kelly Hosking (Brian), Shannon Simmons (Desiree), Michael Hamelmann (Jennifer), Mark Hamelmann (Stephanie), and Megan McGee (Ryan); 14 great-grandchildren; niece Diana Selvia (Bill) and niece Sharon Butwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil C. Hamelmann, son, Charles Douglas Hamelmann, and sister, Marie Halstead. Virginia was a member of United Methodist Temple Church. She was a graduate of Honey Creek High School and Indiana Business College. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working her daily crossword puzzle.  Visitation will be Monday October 12, 2020 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 12:30 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either the American heart Association or the Terre Haute Humane Society (envelopes will be available at the funeral home).
