Valeria Ruth Leban Ferency born on November 6, 1924 to Slovenian immigrants John Peter Leban and Mary Matelich Leban. After 95 beautiful years of life she left her earthly home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 27, 2020. She spent her last days at her daughter Susan Burton's home. Her sons Steve and Carl Ferency along with grandson Myles "Solly" Burton, son-in-law Dwight "Barney" Burton and future granddaughter-in-law Catherine Smith as well as many friends surrounded her with their love in her final moments. She was married for 58 years to Alexander Guy Ferency who died on January 21, 2010, he was her Hungarian next door neighbor. She was an amazing mother and homemaker and proud to support her country during WWII making detonators for bombs and radios for WWII bombers. She also worked at the whiskey distillery and never took a drink as far as we know. She enjoyed the flowers and animals at Susan's farm and had a special love for her dog Puppy. In death before her were her brother William 'Bill" Leban and sister Rose Leban. She is also survived by her son Alexander Carl, (Kathi) Ferency and grandchildren Alexander Charles,(Dominique) Ferency and Ashley (Bill) Miller. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.Saturday, August 29, 2020 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel and prayer service with Father Dan Bedel at 1:00 p.m. followed by graveside service at Calvary Cemetery.
