Susan Gehring Obituary

Susan L. Gehring, 69, of Terre Haute died April 29, 2021 at Hutsonwood Health Care in Brazil, IN.  she was born November 24, 1951 to Jack R. Dayhuff and Carmen Lucille (Peck) Dayhuff Shake.  She was a Registered Nurse and had earned her Masters Degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Russell Dayhuff.  She is survived by her daughter Tisha Gehring Thompson and her husband Dwayne, her son Tyceson W. Gehring, her sister Tana Smith.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Hayley Black and her husband Travis, Jacob Nichols and fiancée Cara Koning, Kiersten Gehring, Grace Gehring, and Olivia Hunter and her husband Chandler.  Her great-grandchildren are Brenner Gehring, Emma Hunter, Isabella Hunter, Lillian Black, and Braxtyn Gehring soon to be born; nieces, Laurice Smith and Laurelle Smith and nephew, Brad Smith.  Keeping with her wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.  The children would like to express their sincere appreciation to Kindred Hospice and to the staff of Hutsonwood Health Care, formerly Exceptional Living Center, of Brazil.  Those who choose may make memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice.  Online condolences can be made at debaunfuneralhomes.com
