Russell Loren Weeks, “Russ, Rusty” passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2021, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute Indiana at the age of 56 after a sudden heart attack.
He was born on January 29th,1965 in Ohio and lived most of his early life in Terre Haute, Indiana. He participated in the Boys Club and YMCA basketball and little league baseball.
After moving to Texas and marrying Christine Betters, his daughter Alex was born and later his son Anthony. He was a devoted father to his children. Actively involved in their school functions and sports. He had a heart of gold, putting others before himself from family to a person on the street. No one was a stranger to him, and he was always willing to give up his time to help others.
He moved back to Terre Haute several years later and began painting for D. Kiger Painting, working for his Uncle Don. He bought a house that was his pride and joy that he was renovating. He had hopes to move back to Texas soon to be close to his children.
Russell is preceded in death by his mother, Meta Weeks; Father, Ralph Weeks; brother Clive Weeks, and many aunts and uncles.
Russell is survived by his daughter, Alexandra Weeks; son, Anthony Weeks; former spouse, Christine Betters; Uncle, Don Kiger; Aunts, Susan Kiger and Kay Stevens; and several cousins.
DeBaun Funeral Home will be assisting with cremation. His ashes are going to his children with wishes to plant them in the soil of trees to be planted at their future family homes. A celebration of life will be set at a future date.
