Ronald Dale Hauger

Ronald Dale Hauger, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on August 17, 2025.  He was born to Lloyd Hauger and Elizabeth (Pierceson) Hauger on October 25, 1947 in Sullivan, Indiana.  Ron was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a life member of VFW Post 972.  On July 9, 1996, he married the love of his life, Lan-Chien (Nancy) Hauger.  Ron was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years.  When he wasn’t working, Ron enjoyed going to the casino and playing poker or the slot machines.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife; children Ronda Slater, Tiffanie (Paul) Neice, Shawn (Christy) Hauger, Kevin (Tori) Hauger; grandchildren Madalyn (Dalton), Maize, Zoe, Oliver, Liam, Kai, Kory, Phoenix, Cobe, Mila, Dylan, Jennifer; great-grandchildren Light, Sammy, Sofia; siblings, best friend and brother Lester (Dawnetta), Becky, Janice, Velma, Marvin (Alice); and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald is preceded in death by both his parents; brothers Tom, Jim, Gail, Fred, Phillip, Denny, Perry; infant son Douglas Dale Hauger; great-niece Sheyanne Hauger.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Terre Haute Humane Society.

Services have been entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.  A public visitation will be held at the DeBaun Funeral Home Springhill Chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.  Service will begin at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana.  Online condolences may be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
