Ronald K. Bowman

Ronald K. Bowman, 73, of Pimento passed away Friday, September 04, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 13, 1947 in Terre Haute to Jack and Maxine Bowman.

Ron never missed an opportunity to spend a day in the woods or on the lake. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and shared his love of the outdoors through storytelling and mentoring. Throughout the years he enjoyed farming, gardening, mushroom hunting and working in his barn and yard. He retired from both Ampacet and General Housewares. He was proud to have accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl Bowman, daughters Christine Bowman (Jeff) and Mindy Mehringer (Jason) son Brad Rothrock (Amy) and five grandchildren Jacob, Isaac, Jasmin, Eli and Levi Mehringer, sister Cathy Rock, brother-in-law Bobby Green (Jackie) and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close friend Cody Moore, whom he cherished mentoring and sharing his love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Ron is preceded in death by his parents and beloved dog and best friend Tracker.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Pastor Ronnie Parker will be officiating.
