Rick A. Means

Rick A. Means, 71, of Terre Haute passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. 
He was born on April 25, 1953, to Warren W. Means and Helen G. Chapman Means. Rick was a 1971 graduate of North Central High School in Farmersburg. He retired from Pfizer with over 30 years of service. Rick did woodworking, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved doing yardwork. His lawn was always immaculate. He also enjoyed antiquing, going to auctions, flea markets, and yard sales to find new treasures. Rick was an avid gardener, growing a beautiful vegetable garden each year. 
He was a past member of the Fairbanks Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Shrine for many years. Rick was blessed with many friends over the years. The Coffee Club would meet throughout the week and the Board Meeting once a month. He loved sharing that time with friends. Rick will be missed by so many.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Connie Caton Means; sisters Sheila Granby and Phyllis McCowan (Richard); stepson Eric Kass (fiancée Misha Young); grandchildren Katelyn Kass, Mikayla Kass, and Owen Kass; brothers-in-law Ron Caton and Rick Caton (Terri); sister-in-law Dixie Means; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as lifelong friends Wally Ringer and Mike Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale Means, sister Cheryl Johnson, and brother-in-law John Granby.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Farmersburg Westlawn.
