Pearl “Nadine” Long, 78, of Terre Haute passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 31, 1943 in Terre Haute to Claude Plunkett and Pauline Long Emmert. Nadine and her husband Kenny were owners of Ken & Dean’s Hideout. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion. Nadine loved to garden and take care of the house. She truly made the house a home. She loved Elvis, taking care of her birds and her dogs. Nadine also loved to cook and was famous for her Italian Beef which was a favorite of not only her family but of the bar patrons. Most of all she loved being with her family. She always wanted to know what was going on with all the kids and grandkids. Her family was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline Emmert, her loving husband of nearly 39 years, Kenneth Long, sons, B.J. Martin (Nancy), Bill Long (Emille); daughters, Lannie Purdy (Rick), Kirsten Martin, Callie Youngblood, Tawnya Hubinger, and Shannon Jach (Kevin); nineteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and step brother Garry Bugni. Nadine is preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Prayer service will follow visitation. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
