Onalee Myles

Onalee Myles, 73, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.  She was born October 16, 1949 in Terre Haute to Cecil B. Tackett and Cathleen Downey Tackett.  Ona was a member of the 1969 class at West Vigo High School.  She was a realtor in Terre Haute working over 30 years for Williams & Associates / Coldwell Banker Real Estate. She married Bernard Myles on January 3, 1983.  They were married 39 years. Onalee enjoyed traveling, especially her frequent visits to Florida.  She adored her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandson were her greatest joy.  Onalee had a very close group of friends.  They had many adventures and great times together.  She was an unforgettable lady and will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her son, Major Jerome Anthony “Tony” King (US Army Retired) and his spouse Rachael; her grandson Michael, her grandson John and his spouse Emily, her great-grandson Henry and her grand-daughter Katherine.  Ona was very close to surviving cousins Donna Tackett Dunham, Nancy Corbin Neidlinger, and Larry Tacket.  She was also extremely close to her sister in-law Sherry Myles Heien and husband Bob, and niece Missy Heien and her husband David-Basan.  Onalee also kept numerous close friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Onalee was known for her life-long love of animals, and leaves behind her Chihuahuas: Cookie and Gidget.   In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Terre Haute Humane Society or to St. Francis K-9 Rescue Inc., would please her.

Onalee’s impact on her friends, family and community are beyond measure. She was truly one of a kind.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Service will follow visitation with Pastor Larry Branham officiating.  Online condolences may be made to:
