Michelle Nicole Stadler-Eberlein

Michelle “Shelly” N. (Stadler) Eberlein, age 31, of Terre Haute, IN passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 9:19 a.m. from complications from Huntington’s Disease. Michelle was born in September of 1988 to Andrew “Andy” P. and Amy E. (Peach) Stadler. She is preceded in death by her mother; her Grandmothers Wilma Peach, Sheila Stadler, and Barbara Smith; her Grandfather Thomas “Tom” Smith, Sr.; her Uncles Joe Peach and William “Bill” M. Smith; and, her Aunt Bonnie L. Stadler.

Michelle is survived by her Father Andy; her Step-Mother Laura L. Stadler; her Siblings Melinda “Mindy” R. Stadler, Michael A. Stadler, Benjamin “Ben” J. Stadler, Laurisa L. Stadler; her Grandfathers Art Stadler and William “Bill” Peach; her Grandmother Dorothy J. Smith; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michelle was blessed to have experienced many of the things in life that we often take for granted, and some that many will never have the opportunity to do. Growing up, she was active in softball, basketball, Girl Scouts, and Youth Group at Mt. Pleasant UMC. As a young adult, she was privileged to experience independent living, driving, marriage and motherhood (as a step-mother to Jaden). Michelle and her siblings made Laura’s step-mom a “Two-Step” Grandma, and Jaden came along and made Laura one, as well. Among many other things, Michelle got to swim in the ocean while living in North Carolina. Special times with her dad were many, working with him in his business, elk hunting in the mountains of Colorado, and escorting her dad to the formal Enlisted Dining Out are a few that immediately come to mind. She loved greatly and was greatly loved by those who knew her. Joy abounds at the vision of her reunion with her mother and the others who have gone before. We will see you again, Michelle!

Visitation will be Wednesday January 15, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Home, 85 E. Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, IN, with funeral services at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America www.hdsa.org in Michelle’s memory.
