Michael L. "Mike" Davis

Michael L. “Mike” Davis, 71, of Prairie Creek died Friday June 26, 2020. He was born May 20, 1949 to George and Katherine Davis who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Howard) Davis whom he married in 1970 and they were just 22 days short of being married for 50 years. They met when she was 13 and he was 15, truly a love story; daughter, Brandi Davis and her husband Don Thoren and their daughters, Charlotte and Meredith of Falls Church, Virginia; son, Greg Davis lives in Prairie Creek with his sons, Austin and Kody, and his soon to be bride, Cheryl Ballew and her children, Melanie, Landen, Logan, and Brylie; sister, Lynne Wingler and husband Harold; brother, Steve Davis and wife Leigh Ann and many nieces and nephews. Make had a very exciting life. He graduated from Honey Creek High School in 1967, joined the United States Air Force in 1968 and retired from there in 1988. He got to see and meet some amazing places and people. After he retired he worked for several airlines as a aircraft mechanic, again meeting amazing friends and seeing amazing places. Mike loved life, gardening, and working in his pole barn. Most of all he loved his kids, grandkids and his family. Visitation is Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Prairie Creek West Lawn Cemetery. The family is requesting that you do not send flowers, but in Mike’s honor please take the money you would have spent and do something with your family, such as dinner, fishing, or ice cream.
