Melvin Lee Ennen

Melvin Lee Ennen, 86, of Terre Haute passed away at his home on Thursday, November 23, 2023.  He was born January 3, 1937, in Terre Haute to Herman Ennen, Sr. and Roberta Powers Ennen.  Melvin proudly served his country in the United States Navy Reserves.  He was a member of the Riley American Legion and the Marine Club.  Melvin worked as a sheet metal worker for most of his life and following retirement he and his brother Paul, owned their own business, P&M Fabrication.  In his younger years, Melvin raced motocross.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, and golfing.

Melvin is survived by his son Rob Ennen (Mary), daughter Kimberly Heald (Gary), grandchildren Justin Ennen, Kayla Fletcher (Trent), and Paige Ennen, great grandchildren Oliver Fletcher and Kylan Fletcher, as well as close nephew Jeff Ennen (Lisa).  He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Herman Ennen, Jr., and Paul Ennen, and his beloved golden retriever, Sweets.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
