Mary Aline Woodruff, 94, of Terre Haute passed away at 2:28 A.M., Wednesday, March 25 at Cobblestone Crossing Healthcare Facility. She was born in Shoals, Indiana to Charles and Mary Sanders-Hawkins on October 29, 1925. She was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School as well as the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. The majority of her career as a registered nurse was spent at Union Hospital and Indiana State University. Her talents included photography, quilt making, and doll making. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, William Burton Woodruff; her parents; four brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her children; Elaine Joyce York of Terre Haute, William Burton Woodruff II of Terre Haute, and Charles Woodruff (Christy) of Brazil; sister-in-law Marilyn Fredrick and her husband Dr. Terry Frederick of north Carolina; grandchildren, Dr. Richard A. Bonness and wife Dr. Ann Bonness of Plainfield, Shelley Bullock of Carmel, Justin Woodruff and wife Ricka Woodruff of Terre Haute, and Jessica Woodruff of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren Chance Bedford, Andrew Bonness, Aline Bedford, Grace Bonness, William Henry Woodruff, Baden Bullock, Enzo Woodruff, Mia Woodruff, Caprice Bedford, and numerous nieces and nephews. A private visitation for Mary will be held at DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00-12:00 with funeral services starting at 12:00 PM. entombment at Roselawn Memorial Park will follow. Pastor Kieth Taylor will be officiating.
