Mary Alice Inman, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020. She was born on October 9, 1935 to Alfred Lemaire and Rosa V. Smith Lemaire. Mary Alice is preceded in death by both parents; husband John P. Inman, as well as three sisters, Delores Reynolds, Juanita Jennings, and Alfreda Meuser. She is survived by her daughters Sonjia L. Duchene (Rick)of Farmersburg, Tina L. Fightmaster (Greg) of Terre Haute, and Constance A. Inman of West Terre Haute; siblings Frances Wescott of Mesa AZ, Sharon R. Smith of Terre Haute, Alfred W. Lemaire (Sharon) Allegan, MI, and Frank S. Lemaire (Billie) of Clermont, IN; grandchildren Richard Duchene (Sarah), Matthew Duchene (Mandy), Jaden Duchene (Raven), Julie Plascak, Kara Plascak, Marty Plascak (Courtney), Michael Plascak (Stephanie), and Gregory Fightmaster; great-grandchildren Zachary Lauer, Jacob Kisner, Ainsley Duchene, Ofelia Duchene, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary Alice was a member of the Hulman Street Wesleyan Church. Mary Alice worked many years at Union Hospital. She also belonged to the Past Presidents Club and Sugar Grove 4-H Extension Club. Mary Alice enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She also loved to crochet, sew, craft, weave baskets, cook, decorate cakes, and just being an extraordinary home maker. Mary Alice loved her Church and her family. Visitation for Mary Alice will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, August 27th from 4-8 PM and on Friday, August 28th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM. Burial at Highland Lawn will follow.
