Marjorie Jean Peterson, 95, of Terre Haute passed away January 5, 2024. She was born July 13, 1928, in Aurora, Indiana to Russell Glenn Kerr and Dorothy Marie (Fauss) Kerr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Deward D. “Pete” Peterson, her parents, brother Jerald Lee Kerr, and son-in-law David Moulton. Marjorie is survived by son Jerald Lee Peterson (Stephanie) of Terre Haute, daughters Janet Louise Peterson of Terre Haute, and Linda Kay Kelly (Jim) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren Katie Moulton (Edgar Kunz) and Hannah Strassler (Billy), and great grandson Jacob Mickelson.
Marjorie was a graduate of Aurora High School and Deaconess School of Nursing in Cincinnati. She loved oil and watercolor painting, tracing family history, playing golf with friends and traveling. In the past, she was involved in Vigo County Medical Auxiliary, Newcomers Club, and various art groups. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
DeBaun Funeral Home was entrusted with cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Marjorie can be made to the charity of your choice.
