M. Rogene Snoddy, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus. She was born August 12, 1927 in Brazil, Indiana to Frank Cooper and Alice Mercer Cooper. She was a 1945 graduate of Brazil High School and received her nursing degree from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing. Rogene was a long-time member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved to play the organ, create doll house miniatures, and enjoyed traveling. She was a surgical nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital for many years and later became a psychiatric nurse. Most of all she loved spending time with her beloved family.
Rogene is survived by her son, Stephen R. Snoddy (Jayne), Daughter Debbi L. Rogers (David), grandchildren Todd Rogers (Diane), Kevin Rogers (Amy), and Craig Rogers (Becky), great-grandchildren Ashley, Ava, Breanna, Aiden, Austin, and Easton, and brother Forrest V. Cooper (Judy). She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James F. Snoddy, and sister Sheri S. Rice.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Tim Fagg will be officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions social distancing practices are in place and masks must be worn. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
