Lloyd Lee Ennen

Lloyd Lee Ennen, 90, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his children.  He was born October 22, 1933, in Vigo County to Enno Robert Ennen and Vera (Reising) Ennen.  Lloyd retired from Peabody Coal in 1990.

Lloyd is survived by one son, David Ennen (Debra Jean), three daughters Debra Ann Daley (Michael), Terri White (Steven) of Terre Haute, and Tracy Inboden (Brian) of Robinson, Illinois; grandchildren Lisa Ennen, Miranda Ennen, Matt Ennen, Sarah White Zender (Thomas), Steven Kyle White, Elizabeth Inboden (Kurtis), Emily Inboden, and eight great grandchildren.  He was blessed to have two wonderful wives who preceded him in death, Irma Jean Danner Ennen of 55 years, and Verna Swander Ennen of seven years.  Lloyd is also preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Lisa Ennen, and bothers Wayne Ennen and Donald Ennen.

He was a proud graduate of Honey Creek High School in 1951, finding great joy in attending the yearly reunions. Lloyd was also a dedicated member of Oregon Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for many years.  His greatest pleasure was time spent on the golf course.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bradley Geary and Pastor Fred Harrison officiating.  Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance of Lloyd to Oregon Baptist Church, 11200 S. Carlisle Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802.  The family is very appreciative of the love, care and support from Heart to Heart Hospice.
