Linda Sue (Bandy) Smith

Linda Sue Smith, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, after her long battle with cancer. Linda was born May 20, 1947, in Terre Haute to Howard “Pee Wee” and Ruby (Keller) Bandy. 

Linda worked as an administrative assistant for Applied Industrial Technologies and Coldwell & Company, Inc, before retiring in December 2016. Linda enjoyed Bunco parties with her friends and spending time with family. She loved to travel, and the beach was one of her favorite places. She took great pride in her yard and planting flowers brought her joy. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alan Smith; son, Kip Smith (Sharla); grandchildren, Landon Smith, Brynley Smith, Chloe Smith, and Elizabeth Dishman (Adam); sisters, Nancy Diel and Kelly Davis; aunt, Norma Keller; sisters-in-law, Wilma Evans and Debbie Smock; brothers-in-law, Curt Smith (Rita) and Warren Smith (Becky); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her lifelong best friend, Mary Ellen Hankins. Linda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Ryan Smith; and brother-in-law, Drew Diel.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Jeff Lee officiating. Cremation will follow. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
