Linda K. Paulin

Linda Paulin, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the comfort of her home holding hands with her husband Clifford, surrounded by her family, her pup Coco and all the hummingbirds. She was born in Tell City, Indiana to her late parents and avid card players, Linus and Wanda Haller.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, noodle lady at church, and devoted follower of Christ. She always knew she wanted a large family and leaves a beautiful legacy rooted in tradition and fun. She could always be found in the stands rooting the loudest for her children, grandchildren and most recently her great-grandchildren, no matter the sport she was in attendance. She and her best friend Sandy Leistner were season ticket holders for ISU Basketball and one of her fondest memories was traveling during the Larry Bird era. They never missed a game that fateful season. She truly made family her number one priority showing up at every graduation, wedding, birth of so many babies and a hall of fame induction. In retirement, Linda travelled all over the USA with her husband in their motor home and internationally to Italy to see the Pope, ride a camel named ‘Jack’ in Egypt and kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland. She said “I am going to live this life” and she did.

Linda follows in death her best friend Sandy Leistner and Sandy’s daughter, LeAnn, her brothers Denny and Linus (Sonny) and her sister Faye. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Clifford Paulin and their five children, Marti Carr (Jack), Jim Paulin (Susan), Toni Shattuck (Chris), Shelly Paulin Canales and Eric Paulin (Gerry), her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, plus her younger brother Dr. Gary Haller, DDS (Kathy). 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  There will also be visitation on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
