Kenneth L. McBride, 85, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born on November 22, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN to Charles McBride and Geraldine (Malone) McBride. He married Marjean (Malott) McBride on November 2, 1958. He was a clerk at Elder-Beerman for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, sons, Mark McBride (Dawn) and Brian McBride (Nicole); daughters, Kimberly Myers (Garry), Melissa Overman (Justin), and Angela McBride; grandchildren, Brittany Higginbotham, Matthew McBride, Sean McBride, Mercy McBride, Brayton McBride, Brinson McBride, Regan Overman, and Jensen Overman; 8 great-grandchildren, and son-in-law Gerald Bettag. He is preceded in death by both parents, daughter Beth Bettag, brother Larry McBride, and grandson Bryce McBride. Kenneth and Marjean were foster parents for 33 years, helping 255 children during that time. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. A private burial will be held at New Harmony Cemetery.
