Joanne M. Knoblock

Joanne M. Knoblock, aged 67, died on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, in Terre Haute, surrounded by her family. In her suffering she knew the depths of the Lord’s love. Joanne Marie Moscato was born in Queens, New York, in 1954.  She was introduced to her husband, Kenneth, by her cousin Freddie, who worked with him at Grandview Dairy.  They were married in New York City, in 1977, and had four children.
Joanne was a proud graduate of the WED program at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.  She worked in the Vigo County School Corporation.  Joanne loved making crafts of all sorts and loved to share her creations with others.  She crocheted prayer shawls for many individuals, as well as numerous blankets and hats for Angels for Babies and the Catholic Charities Christmas store.  Joanne was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and taught Religious Education classes for years.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Moscato, and brother-in-law Thomas Knoblock of New York.  She is survived by her husband – Kenneth, his mother - Carmella, his brothers Paul and John (Sabrina) of New York , her brother James (Debbie) and brother-in-law Laurence all of Florida; her daughters – Kim and Sarah Knoblock of Terre Haute, Christine Rahman (Bruce) of Loogootee, and one son Ken Knoblock Jr. (Becca) of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren (ages 10 years through 18 months); and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2405 S. 7th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana.  Fr. Ben Syberg will Preside. The family will greet friends after the Mass during an open house reception, from noon until 2:00-ish in the Dede Center, on St. Margaret Mary’s campus.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, P.O.
