Janet Louise (Shank) Miller, 90, a resident of Terre Haute, died on September 9, 2024, at Wyndmoor in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Janet was born December 8, 1933, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Mabel S. Shank.
She worked in building supply companies in Maryland for ten years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her family, and being of service in churches she attended and reaching out to others with food and just helping others. Janet helped with several girls’ wedding plans. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terre Haute and enjoyed Kum Dubble S.S. Class and Senior Singers.
On April 8, 1961, she married Dean R. Miller who survives her. Also surviving are a son Keith Miller of Indianapolis and daughter Ruth Lynn Marsh and her husband Geoff of California, and two grandchildren, Joshua and Emily Marsh. She was preceded in death by a son Stephen, her parents, sister Donna Carr.
She is also survived by two sisters, Eleanor Pearson and Karen Wiser (Robert) and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the DeBaun Funeral Home, Springhill Chapel on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Newman will officiate. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Per her wishes, cremation has been chosen.
