Jane Ellen Braden, 99, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was born May 11, 1924, in Terre Haute to Frank Delorme and Anna Watteau Delorme. Jane graduated from Garfield High School in 1942. She worked at Quaker Maid. Jane also worked alongside her husband, Billy at Hulman Field Federal Credit Union. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed sewing and crafting. Jane made hats for the babies at Riley Children’s Hospital as well as blankets for the children and for local veterans. She was such a loving and caring soul. Family dinners were one of her favorite times, having everyone together. She will be missed by so many.
Jane is survived by sons, William F. Braden (Collette) of Valparaiso, Richard E. Braden (Leanne) of Terre Haute; daughter, Karen S. Moore of Kokomo; grandchildren, Scott Moore (Andrea) of Kokomo, Monica Braden of Plainfield, Michelle Coughlin (Michael) of Schererville, Amber Klien (Jeff) of Avon, Cristi Pittman (Chad) of Zionsville, Cara Donovan (Dan) of Fishers, Jamie Moore of Kokomo; great-grandchildren Colin Coughlin, Brady Coughlin, Addie Coughlin, Lauren Klein, Jackson Klein, Zoe Moore, Amelia Moore, Jerrad Moore, Devin Moore, Frannie Pittman, Maggie Pittman, Jack Pittman, Luci Pittman, Luke Donovan, Jake Donovan, and Kate Donovan; and great-great granddaughter Cleo Moore, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy E. Braden who passed away in 1988, grandson Kenny Moore, sisters Rosine Harmon and Marie Wilkinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Services will be private.
