Jacquelyn Denehie Obituary

Jacquelyn Denehie, 79, passed November 23, 2022.  She was born on November 18, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph and Betty Walker.  Jacquelyn is survived by her daughter Stephanie Hendricks; grandsons Connor and Ian; granddaughter Delaney; sister Judy (Blaze); brother Pat (Grace); bonus children Debbie Denehie Hills (Jeff) Doug, Don, and Dee Ann Stewart, as well; as many nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. Jacquelyn is also survived by her lifelong friend Sydney Bell.  After moving to Terre Haute in 1970, her favorite and most fun years were spent at the Holiday Inn serving as a cocktail waitress.  It was there she met many long lasting friendships, including her husband Paul Denehie.  She then went to work for Poison Ivy where she enjoyed new friends including Gus and Jack DeLoughery.  She then went on to establish The Advertising Company with Colleen Lester.  After this she became the Executive Director of U.C.P. and was active with the organization for 25 years.  One of her other successes and accomplishments was her involvement with Leadership Terre Haute.  She was not only proud to be graduate but, distinguished alumni.  She was preceded in death by her parents; best friend Kathy Bell Walker, as well as her siblings Thomas, Michael, Timothy, and Joseph Jr..  She will always be remembered for her love of everyone, especially those in need.
