We have lost our best friend, our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There are no words to express how much she was loved and how much she will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Helen Prentice Curley, age 89, of Terre Haute, IN, passed away peacefully 2/3/18 with loving family by her side. Helen devoted her life to being a mother and caring for others. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Curley, her parents, William and Lela Prentice, her brother Bill and two sisters, Norma Frump and Betty Bindhammer.
Helen is survived by her 5 daughters: Caren and Woodrow Harden: Connie and Gary Loudermilk: Cathy and Paul Atterson: Debbie Watson: Lori and Dean Adams.12 Grandchildren: Jason Harden, Jennifer and Grant Bolen: Stefanie Loudermilk: Laura and Jesse Tohill: Aaron and Ashlie Atterson: Eric and Jessica Atterson: Anthony and Kristie Watson: Brian and Kendra Watson: Samantha Watson: Hope Adams, Kelly and Eric Grainger: Abbey Adams: and 23 great grandchildren.
Helen was a devoted wife and mother who loved cooking, gardening, and gathering with her family and friends. She loved animals and nature but above all her family. She had a knack for nurturing and caring for children. Helen had a wonderful life, full of love and joy. Her kind nature and spirit will be remembered by all. The affect she had on our lives will be with us forever.
Services will be at Springhill Debaun, Tuesday 2/6/18, 11am -1pm, with services at 1pm and burial after.
