Obituary

Harry Lee Schooley, 91, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his home.  He was born September 12, 1931, in Terre Haute to Glen Schooley and Zona Linton Schooley.  Harry served his country in the United States Navy in the Korean War.  He worked for the railroad in Wisconsin, retired from Anaconda after 25 years, and was a driver for Brinks.  He had a strong work ethic and a heart of gold.  Even after retirement he was always working on projects and kept his yard pristine.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Harry is survived by his son John Schooley, daughters Robin Cornelius and Sheila Hauger, several grandchildren and six great-granchildren; sisters Millie King and Shirley Pezavento.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Schooley, son in law Fred Hauger, and brothers Max Schooley and Rex Schooley.

Graveside military honors will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Grandview Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Harry can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Terre Haute Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
