Gillian Elise Webb, 22, of Terre Haute passed away Monday April 11, 2022 at home. She was born March 11, 2000 in Terre Haute to Paul D. Webb and Lorre A. Mishler (Campbell). Gillian was quirky and sweet and held a special place in the hearts of those who knew her. She was introverted and unfailingly kind. She loved animals, especially cats, and her cat, Mara was her pride and joy.
Gillian is survived by her cat Mara; her parents, Paul and Erika Webb and Lorre and Bret Mishler; Brother, Geoff Webb (fiancé Elena Mnayarji); Step Siblings, Derrick Mishler, Madalaine (Schuyler) Horky, Erik Switzer, Andrea Switzer, Megan (Graham) Hughes, Annie Mishler and Nolan Mishler; Grandparents, Tom and Doris Webb, Sally Elkins and Jim and Anne Mishler, Robert and Sharon Kramer; Aunts and Uncles, Steve (Ellen) Webb, Kim Tanner, Brad (Stephanie) Kramer, Krista (Eric) Lavonas and Rachelle (Angela) Stefanski; Cousins, Jake (Tammy) Tanner, Adam Webb, Kirsten Lutes, Kaitlin Walden, Makensie Kramer, Madison Kramer, Calvin Lavonas, Lucy Lavonas.
One of the most impressive attributes of Gillian is that when she believed in something or was your friend, she was VERY passionate about it. She cared deeply about those whom she felt were underrepresented, underappreciated and underprivileged. She was a very gifted and talented artist as exhibited by her work during the last 4 years at IUPUI’s Herron School of Art. She was scheduled to graduate with highest honors for her Bachelor’s degree on May 15, 2022 and had planned to pursue a career in prop/production design for television and film. She also had been awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s award for her GPA to be awarded on April 14, 2022. We love Gillian so very much and will miss her with our whole hearts. We look forward to the day that we see her again.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society and Equal Justice Initiative.
