George Ray Piker, 64, of Prairie Creek passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. He was an employee of Kirkham Hardwoods for over 30 years, as a forklift operator.
George was born on February 25, 1959, to Jesse and Norma Piker. Both parents and brothers Carl and Paul Piker proceed him in death. He is survived by his four children, Jody (Andy) Roberts, Carol (John) Berg, Justin (Jessica) Piker, Emily (Jeff) Ransford; grandchildren William and Ben Roberts, Anthony, Lillian, Genevieve, and Theodore Berg, Dylan and Marlaina Piker, Gabriella and Emmitt Ransford; six sisters, Jessie McCollum, Margaret Barton (Tim), Florence Barton (Ken), Judy Higgins (Jeff), Lois King, and Kathy Stripling; and his partner Donna Piker.
George loved living the simple life and spending time with his chickens. He also enjoyed camping, fishing at the beautiful Lake Mossbarger, and was a kickball All-Star.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Service will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Pastor Don Ransford will officiate. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
