Gary Lee Miller, 70, passed away on March 31, 2022. He was born on February 29, 1952 to Gerald Miller and Mary Cutsinger Miller. Gary was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers Mark and Terry Miller. He is survived by his wife Kathy Miller; Children Terry Miller, Bryon Miller, Elizabeth Merrell, and Richard Merrell; siblings Ralph Miller (Sue), Steve Miller (Ginny), Mary Miller; grandchildren Keegan, Troy, Molly, and Haylie; great-grandchildren Zander and Landon; nieces Amy and Kayla, as well as his dachshund Toby. Gary belonged to the original team that started up Ampacet in Terre Haute. Forty years later, he would later retire as warehouse supervisor. Gary belonged to the First Hungarian Working Men’s Society. He served his country in the United States Army, he became a Sargent. During his time served he received the National Defense Service Medal, as well as being rewarded as a Sharpshooter M14 and Marksman M16. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army. Gary was a very giving person. He knew how to cook the perfect ribeye steak. Gary enjoyed Chevrolet cars, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke. More than anything Gary enjoyed family time. Visitation for Gary will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Tuesday, April 12 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park then a celebration of life following at the Hungarian Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.
