Esther L. McCombs

Esther L. McCombs died June 21, 2021 at Signature Healthcare, Terre Haute, IN. She was born March 8, 1934 to John F. Daum and Carrie (Key) Daum in Plainfield, Indiana.  She graduated from Plainfield High School, where she met her husband James E. McCombs, Jr. They were married August 15, 1953. They had four children: James (Kevin) McCombs, Terry McCombs, Kelly McCombs-Motz, and John McCombs. Esther worked several office and sales jobs, but was a mother and housewife most of her life. She grew up in Plainfield, Indiana, but spent 47 years in Terre Haute, where she passed.  She was preceded in death by her husband, son Terry, daughter Kelly, and brother John (Bud) Daum.  Esther is survived by her sons James (Kevin), and John, her sister Edna Mae Pedigo, Alice Ellis, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
