Ernest "Ernie" Fleschner

Ernest (Ernie) S. Fleschner, age 90, of Terre Haute died February 25, 2020 at Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, IN. He was born November 9, 1929 to George and Bertha (Walls) Fleschner. Ernest is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Rollings) Fleschner, daughter Cindy Jo Brown, a brother George Fleschner, his sisters Alice Steward and Jody Jacks, grandchildren Shanon Brown and Caleb Fleschner, and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Dalton Brown.  He is also survived by a step-daughter Angela McDonald and her husband Tom, step-grandchildren Eric Brown and wife Ashley and Jason Brown and his wife Taylor, and eight step-great-great-grandchldren He was preceded in death by his son Clarence Samuel Fleschner, wife Joan Cottom Fleschner, brother Alec Fleschner, and sisters Roberta Huber, Iva Sandberg, Kiva Halt, and Janet Krueger. He was a 1947 graduate of Honey Creek High School. He was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.  His memberships include Faith Wesleyan Church, Marine Corps League, VFW# 972, Riley American Legion Post # 328, and Am Vets.  He was retired from Alcan Aluminum.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with Rev. Mark Fleschner officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from noon until services.  Burial will be in Mt.
