Elizabeth Jane (Smith) Wells

Elizabeth Jane Wells, 71, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday December 26, 2023 in her residence. She was born August 4, 1952 in Battle Creek, MI to Lester and Thelma (Norrod) Smith. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Wells; son, Charles Wells II (Michelle); sister, Rosie Wilsford; sister-in-law, Marie Woodruff; grandchildren, Christina Ann Wells, Galen Allen Wells, Abbey Darkis, and Terrance Darkis and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Wells, and a sister Robin Darkis. Elizabeth was a member of Northside Christian Church. She enjoyed collecting coins, camping, traveling, and being outdoors. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday December 29, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastors Keith Moody and Stuart Powell officiating.
