Doris J. Dyer, 93, of Terre Haute went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 27, 2025. She was born July 17, 1932 in Terre Haute to Issac and Julia (Engle) Clark. After Doris graduated from Schulte High School she was working at Kroger as a secretary for the manager when Ray Dyer walked in and her life was forever changed, a love that would last for 70 years. Ray preceded her in death on August 15, 2024 and he truly was her everything, even after his death. Doris was a member of the First Prairie Creek church. Her faith in God was unshakable and her love for God so constant and loyal. Doris had a smile that would light up a room, and always had something positive to say. She loved being a Pastor’s wife at First Prairie Creek Baptist Church and was more than happy to help in any way that she could. Doris is survived by her children Steven Dyer (Nancy), Dan Dyer (Cynthia), and Karen Martin (Tom); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a cousin, Larry Neff. Visitation will be Friday August 1, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
