Dianna Maxine Smith Williams, 75, passed peacefully at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Dianna graduated from Van Buren High School in Brazil. She was a successful businesswoman, owner, and proprietor of Assist Inc. and was a beautician in Terre Haute. She was a lifelong philanthropist and advocate for those individuals with special needs.
Dianna was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Williams, her son Jay Chickadaunce, her parents Clifton and Macil Smith. Survivors include sister Carolyn Johnson (Jerry) of Greenfield, Indiana, brother Jack Smith, brother Mike Smith (Regina) of Urbana, Iowa, sister-in-law Suzzanne Johnson, adopted son Jon Bolin (Judy) of Terre Haute, granddaughters Katherine and Michelle, great grandchildren, aunt Nancy Smith and numerous nieces and nephews, and multiple extended family members, as well as all of her great friends and loved ones from Calabash, North Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Services will follow visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Dianna can be made to Happiness Bag, Inc. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
