Dawn Lawrence Obituary

Dawn Elaine Lawrence, 67, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.  She was born August 27, 1957, in Terre Haute to Howard E. Pennell and Mary Ruth Pierce Pennell.  Dawn loved to bake and make everything from scratch.  Her pies were a family favorite.  She enjoyed planting flowers and making her home beautiful.  Dawn attended Bible Holiness Church.  Most of all her children and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishment and her most valued treasure.  Time with her grandkids brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Terry Lawrence, her children Dawn Alexander, Billy Sebastian, and Brian Sebastian (Kaytie), grandchildren Cody Sebastian, Willie Sebastian, Dalton Sebastian, Gracie Alexander, James Alexander, III, Raquel Sebastian, Brian Sebastian, II, Zoey LaLoux, Benjamin LaLoux, Gunner LaLoux, and Samuel Sebastian; siblings Donna, Juanita, Velda, Mary, Paula, Paul “Lucky”, and David, as well as her beloved cats Rosie and Rony.  Dawn was preceded in death by her father Howard E. Pennell, sibling Susie, Helen, and infant siblings Howard Edward and Marilyn Sue.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Wendell Kirkman officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
