David Lee Welsh

David Lee Welsh, 69, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.  He was born January 14, 1954, in Terre Haute to Daniel Welsh and Rebecca Sons Welsh.  Dave was a graduate of Terre Haute South and ran track during high school.  He was an avid car enthusiast and owned a beautiful 1954 Chevy.  Dave drag raced in his younger years. He was a member of the Wabash Valley Rodders, and the ACAC Club.  Dave attended Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to car shows, basketball games, and was an Indianapolis Colts fan.  His family spent many years at Dietz Lake camping. Dave retired from Great Dane after more than 35 years of service. Most of all, Dave was a beloved, father, grandfather, and friend.  He will be missed by so many. 

Dave is survived by his daughter Stacey Welsh (Chris Pitts), grandson Daniel Pitts, brother Harold Rumple (Janet), and special friend Harvey Hayhurst.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rod Maris officiating.  Burial will follow at Pogue Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
