Crystal Lynn (Hayhurst) Evitts

Crystal Lynn Hayhurst Evitts, 43, of Riley passed away on June 24, 2020 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital while surrounded by her family.  She was born to Harvey and Paula on May 25, 1977.  Crystal graduated from Terre Haute South.  She loved music, which was the center of her career. Crystal was a DJ for 107.5 ZZQ, WBOW, and Crossroads and had a karaoke business named “Crystal Clear.”  She married the love of her life, Kevin J. Evitts on May 25, 2010.  Crystal then became a stay at home mom, enjoying cooking, and especially taking care of her children.  She is preceded in death by her three grandfathers, Harvey Hayhurst Sr., Don Cooprider, and Paul Strain; aunt Romie and Uncle Larry Burnett.  She is survived by her husband Kevin; parents Harvey (Deanne) and Paula (Doug); children Caleb (Darion), Ian, Logan, Brylan, and Adelynn; grandson Caiden Hayhurst; brother David Hayhurst (Colleen); step-sister Reba (Roger Sisco); step brother Jeremy Whitkanack; mother and father-in-law Faith (Bob); grandmothers Juanita Hayhurst and Barbara Cooprider; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law’s Kenny (Daniel), Kent (Nan), Kirk (Angie); one aunt Debra Sankey (Greg); uncle Steve Strain (Patty); step-grandparents Phil and Doris Spriestersbach as well as David and Lois Whitkanack.  Visitation for Crystal will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, June 29th from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM with services starting at 2:00 PM.  Burial at South Vigo Congregational Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions are sent to Heart to Heart Hospice, which the family thanks them as well as a special thanks to the staff of Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
