Connie B. (Claypool) Maxwell

Connie B. Maxwell, 83, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday November 25, 2023 in Regional Hospital. She was born July 22, 1940 in Martinsville, Illinois to Chester and Alice (Cooper) Claypool. Connie is survived by sons, Gary Stevens (Pam) and Chet Maxwell; sister, Marian Morey; grandchildren, Ariel Maxwell, Megan Maxwell, Jeff Holechko, Bryce Rupska, and Marissa Van Buren; great-grandson, Bryce Rupska, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Rupska; son, Jeff Stevens; sister, Donna Claypool; brother, Randy Claypool and grandson, Devin Holechko. Connie earned his Masters Degree from Indiana State University and was a member of the Alumni Association at ISU. She was an artist and had her art displayed at the Swope Art Museum and she was a substitute teacher with the Vigo County School Corporation. Visitation will be Friday December 1, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiating.
