Charles Logan Jr "Sonny", 77 of Terre Haute passed away peacefully in his home Friday 4/8/2022.
Charles was born October 29, 1944 in Terre Haute to Charles Logan Sr and Ruth (Kendall) Logan.
Charles worked at Stran Steel from the 1960's until the plant closed in 1981. He retired from Union Hospital in 2009 where he worked in the power plant.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, older sister Patricia Logan, grandson Steven Troy Logan and granddaughter Erin Rene Vermillion.
He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Kathleen (Schaffer) Logan; younger sister Peggy Keaton (John); 3 children, Katrina Logan (Dave Fry), Charles Logan III (Tonna), Katy Long (Joe); 5 grandchildren, James Mitchell Curtis (Robyn), Trevor Logan, Mallory Boling (Nick Loyd), Haley Marina-Logan (David Holt), Chace Logan (Grace); 4 step-granchildren, Trenton Hinkle, Randi Milam, Kensi Rader, Sammy Cooper; and 3 great grandchildren.
Charles was a man of Faith, he attended The Journey Church prior to his health declining. He was a man of integrity, liked by all and well-respected. He was very proud of his family and of being a "Logan" He was a wonderful and loving father; always there for his family. His children have countless fond memories of their father. He was actively involved in his children's lives. He coached many of their baseball, softball, and football teams. He loved organizing neighborhood water fights, football games in the mud and snow, pick up basketball games in the alley among many other fun activities. He had a great sense of humor and loved to play pranks on everyone.
We would like to thank Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Dr. Rajendra S. Desai and a special thanks to Beth Fields, FNP for taking such good care of Charles in his time of need.
A visitation will be held Wednesday 4/13/2022 from 4-6pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel located at 85 E Springhill Drive, Terre Haute.
