Charles “Chuck” Ray Nelson, 66, lost his battle with cancer January 16, 2018 at Springhill Village surrounded by family. He was born November 17, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana to Raymond Nelson and Norma Rennecker Nelson. Chuck grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana before moving to Princeton, Indiana where he graduated from Princeton High School. He was an Eagle Scout and went to college at Purdue University. He then joined the Army Reserves and married the love of his life, Jane. Chuck enjoyed working with people, he made countless friends, and took pride in being able to do things for and helping others. He was an extraordinary handy-man and wood craftsman which he was always happy to share his talents with everyone, especially his grandsons. He loved watching Purdue basketball, Colts football, and enjoyed playing golf.
