Betty Jeanne McIntosh, 99, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday January 1, 2022 in her residence. She was owner and operator of Blue Lake Farms. She was born September 8, 1922 in Cory, Indiana to John Floyd and Lela (Armstrong) Redifer. Betty is survived by her daughters, Trudy Ann Cooper (David) and Brenda Sue Rector; son, William A. McIntosh (Judi); grandchildren, Chet McIntosh (Jenn), Brett McIntosh, Lela Morales, Troy McIntosh, Trent McIntosh (Natasha), Dusty Higgs (Jack), Mandy Cox (Michael), Brent Cooper, Casey Rector (Kayla), Darci Marchese (Stephen), and Randa Rector; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Michaela, Brayden, Austin, Corey, Carli, Carson, Zaylei, Cooper, Grace, Ila, Douglas, Chloe, Rustin, Riley, Cadhla, Max, Leo, and Zoey and great great-grandchildren, Emma and Ezra. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Rustin D. McIntosh and sisters, Daisy Nicoson and Helen Kiefner. Betty was very active with her family and her horses. She was a member of united Baptist Church, PEO, Daughters of the Nile and a Lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She was inducted into the Indiana Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame in 2015 and twice inducted into the National Pole Bending Association Hall of Fame. Betty was a wonderful lady who will be dearly missed by her family and friends and she was a woman who new what she wanted, even writing in her high school year book that she would have four children and own a horse farm one day, she was a woman of her word.
