Betty Louise Boyll Harlan, 98, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Betty was born in Terre Haute on March 13, 1923 to Charles Grover Boyll and Letishia (Tish) Sparks Boyll.
Betty lived her entire life in Terre Haute. She graduated from Pimento High School. She worked at several jobs in her life. Betty was the second hired at Bemis Company and retired from there after thirty years plus service. She then went to Sam’s Club where she became a greeter and retired after twenty-six years. Betty was a member of the Oregon Baptist Church and attended Faith Wesleyan Church for many years. In the last days, she attended Shelburn Baptist Church.
Above all she was a beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Betty loved the outdoors and working with her flowers and garden.
She is survived by sons Bobby Arthur Harlan (Brenda), and Kenneth Ray Harlan, daughter Karen Eileen Farmer (Craig), and grandchildren Lt. Colonel David Harlan, Wesley Harlan, Seth Farmer (Jackie), Hannah Pruiett (Dusty), Eliza Jolliff (Andy), and Jesse Farmer (Linda); ten great-grandchildren also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ellen Boyll, Mary Ellen Hatfield, and Hazel Solomon; brothers Lester Boyll and Jerel Boyll, and infant daughter Terri Lynne Harlan.
