Anson Gene Good, 75, passed on April 7, 2021 with loving care at his side. He was born September 16, 1945 in Logansport, Indiana to Esther M. Digenova and Gene V. Good, who preceded him.
Surviving is a son, Dr. Chad Good of Terre Haute, daughters Emily Good (Kellie) of Carmel and Ansley Schiele (Chris) of Evansville, companion Jean Ann Shell “Queen” and her family, grandchildren Gavin, Savannah, and Gretchen Good, Cale and Braylon Schiele.
Anson graduated from Logansport High School. He got his Master’s from Indiana State University. He went on to teach at Gerstmeyer, Turkey Run, the Federal Prison, and retired from Ivy Tech after 38 years in Auto Technology receiving the lifetime achievement award. Anson was a devoted member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He served on the Vigo County Fair Board and was a lifetime sponsor of Ducks Unlimited.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Anson loved cars, racing and his coon dogs, and trying gourmet recipes and fine dining. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was known for his favorite sayings, “We’ll see what happens”, “Can’t complain”, “Life goes on”, “For those who want the finest”.
Thanks to Springhill Village and Southern Care for their phenomenal care and compassion. Mass was held at St. Joseph’s. He was interred at New Harmony Cemetery. Friend Rob Murray officiated. A Celebration of Life will held honoring Anson Gene Good.
