Wilma June "Susie" Shields, 81, of Terre Haute passed away Monday September 2, 2013 in Signature Healthcare Center. She had worked for many years for James Pollitt. Susie was born October 15, 1931 in Prairieton, IN to Estel Gilbert Shields and Lucille (Jones) Shields. She is survived by her brother Donald Shields and his wife Sue of Terre Haute and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Estel Shields, Jr. and 5 sisters, Annabel Dennis, Betty Ridge, Phyllis Shields, Ruby Shields, and Dorothy Karnes. Visitation will be Thursday September 5, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Bishop Dennis Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Durham Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
