William E. Worley, 92, of Terre Haute went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. William was born March 20, 1924 in Clay County, Indiana to Martin and Mary Worley . William graduated from Bowling Green High School. He worked in the maintenance department of Public Service Indiana, now Duke Energy. William was a member of Life Center Church. He lived in the area his entire life and was an avid Cubs fan. William was preceded in death by his parents. William was also preceded in death by his son, Brian Edward Worley, who passed away January 6, 2016 of ALS. Brian was a detective with the Terre Haute Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Joan Reeves Worley, whom he married August 3, 1952; his daughter-in-law, Danielle Worley; his sisters-in-law, Emma Lou Ahlfield and Vanetta Barron and her husband, Fred; his grandchildren, Justin Worley and Kacie Barton; his nephew, Jack Worley and his wife, Patty; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 12:00 noon at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, Indiana with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pastor Billy Joe Henry and Pastor Timothy Minks will be officiating.
