William O. "Bill" Weir, 89, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday August 24, 2016 in his residence. He retired from Merchants National Bank. Bill was born August 14, 1927 in Hammond, IN to Leo Weir and Elsie (Cullen) Weir. He is survived by his wife Carol (Barton) Weir; brothers-in-law, Kenny Barton, Bob Barton, and Tim Barton and several nieces and nephews. Bill was a US Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War, was a graduate of Prairie Creek High School and enjoyed fishing, smoking cigars and going to Las Vegas. Graveside services will be Saturday August 27, 2016 in New Harmony Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Vigo Count y Veterans honor Group. Burial will then be in New Harmony Cemetery. DeBaun Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
