William "Bill" Pohlman, 80, of Fairbanks, IN, passed away at his residence on May 27, with his granddaughter at his side. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances "Frankie" (Dix) Pohlman, daughter Christy Lee of Orleans, IN; son Brian (Lori, and son Xavier) of Supulpa, OK; and beloved dog, Sunny Sunbeam. Granddaughter Hannah Bunch (Landon) of Terre Haute, grandson Jacob Lee of Orleans, IN survive as well. He is also survived by a brother, Jerry (Debbie) of Harrison, OH, sister Mary Doerr of San Angelo, TX, sister Sally Whitham of Batesville, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ellen (Gooderson) Pohlman. Born and raised in Aurora, IN, Bill was a member of the 1954 graduating class of Aurora High School. Bill was the Breed Plant manager in Fairbanks for 13 years, working for AEP for over 40 years, retiring in 1996. He was an avid golfer and member of the Sullivan Elks Lodge, Riverview Club, and Shelburn American Legion. He loved traveling extensively around the world, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and Sunny Sunbeam. Visitation will be held Thursday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4-8pm, and funeral services Friday at 11AM, with graveside services following at Pogue Cemetery.
